The most potentially powerful outcome of Endow San Diego is the genesis of local charitable foundations across the region, growing under the banner, “Endow Your Community.” Each of these new foundations attracts members whose donations create an endowment as well as immediate grantmaking funds that serve their communities exclusively. Here is what we are focusing on now:
Grantmaking
The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation is in its second year of grantmaking and in the current cycle, The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation will accept proposals in the field of SENIOR HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES. More information about the topic area and specific criteria are included in the full grant guidelines. The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation will fund Senior Health and Human Services programs managed by non-profit or government agencies. Projects must specifically target seniors over the age of 55 who live in the City of Carlsbad.
The deadline for submitting grant applications was January 12, 2009. Applications are no longer being accepted.
